The first of our Networking Breakfast events in 2023 is taking place at AstraZeneca – Macclesfield. AstraZeneca is a global pharmaceutical company with a major UK presence. Their purpose is to push the boundaries of science to deliver life-changing medicines. The best way they can help patients is to be science-led and share this passion with the scientific, healthcare and business communities of the UK.
During this event you’ll have plenty of time to network over a light breakfast, and the Chamber team will be on hand to talk about membership – and some of the upcoming events we have in store for 2023. We’ll also be joined by host speaker Fredrik Åsell – Vice President UK Operations, Macclesfield campus who will be providing a general update about AstraZeneca and what’s happening specifically at the Macclesfield campus.
We’re also delighted to welcome guest speaker Simon Davies – Operations Manager for Cheshire East Highways who will be providing insight into how they are keeping Macclesfield moving during the Winter. Simon has over 35 years’ experience working for local highway authorities. He is currently responsible for the delivery of highway maintenance, winter service including decision making, communication and operations, as well as the council’s emergency and adverse weather response. Most recently Simon has been involved in a full review of the council’s winter service which included the development of a new policy, treatment network and route optimisation.
