Elevator pitch taster session with Kalini Kent

THIS EVENT IS BEING RUN ON ZOOM

Kalini Kent is a Communication, Presentation Skills, Public Speaking and Vocal Coach who specialises in helping people communicate and present effectively with confidence, influence and impact; she is passionate about all forms of Communication, and helping people not only to become Confident and ‘find their voice’ to speak up and speak out; but also to develop their skills, stage presence and delivery to become adept public speakers.

In this session Kalini will talk about how to handle situations like:

  • Do you struggle when meeting people online or face to face, and not being able to succinctly and effectively explain who you are and what you have to offer?
  • Does your presentation and message lack structure, last too long, or have a call-to-action that is not clear enough, so there is little or no follow up from prospective clients?
  • Is your delivery lacking confidence and impact so that you worry about the impression you are creating?

These are some of the situations that are all too familiar.  Yet having a strong Elevator Pitch is a must for sparking interest in your company.

Join our Zoom session with Kalini when she will give you the building blocks to:

  • Create a strong first impression with immediate impact that instantly captures the attention of your audience;
  • Have content that is clear, concise and compelling;
  • Create memorable and lasting connections by relating to your Ideal Clients’ needs so that they instantly recognise the potential of what you have to offer;
  • Become competent at presenting your product or service in a confident, engaging and compelling way;
  • Discover how to have a strong 'Call-To-Action' that leads to a follow up connection to make potential sales.

This is a free event for our Chamber members, and £15+VAT for a non-member.

THIS EVENT IS BEING RUN ON ZOOM

Have you ever noticed how sometimes when you are writing, the more you struggle, the more difficult it is to find the words? Paradoxically, some of the best pieces are those that come with almost no effort. You may have wondered why some days you can sweat over the keyboard for hours, only to produce an awkward paragraph or two. On other occasions the words seem to appear like magic, without any effort. And amazingly these pieces can be your best work. So how can you call on this energy and exploit it more readily?

This informal, innovative and inspirational workshop is designed to unlock the barriers that may hold you back. Unconventional games and exercises will help you build confidence and fluency in an atmosphere of fun and discovery. You will learn to plug into your “creativity” – and exploit it at will.

Whether you want to write articles for social media, update the copy on your website, produce more exciting newsletters, more engaging presentations and proposals, or simply get those emails, reports and letters finished faster, this workshop explores skills you never realised you had.

The workshop is delivered by Judi Goodwin, a journalist and trainer with wide experience in national newspapers, magazines and BBC radio. Her impressive client list includes AstraZeneca, HM Prison Styal, The Bank of England, The Royal Mint.

The course is being run over two mornings from 9.30am until 1.00pm on Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th November, and the cost is £100+VAT for a Chamber member, and £125+VAT for a non-member

What you will come away with:

  • You will feel more confident about yourself and your ability to communicate.
  • You will look forward to writing jobs and tackle them with ease - even if writing has previously been a challenge.
  • You will know how to engage readers, customers and clients by communicating in a more human way.
  • Procrastination will be a thing of the past and you will produce more powerful text, often in less than half the time
  • Particularly suitable for developing a personalised or "writing-with-attitude" style for blogging or social media, or for anyone wanting to make technical or financial copy more engaging.

What our delegates say about the last workshop held by Judi on behalf of the Chamber:

“This course was just right for me and came at the right time to get me started on writing blogs for my new business.  I would recommend it very, very highly.”

Christina Hughes, Founder and CEO, Women-Space

“Such a great variety of content and learning methods - kept me engaged throughout and gave me confidence to tackle new writing projects”.

Kim Collier, Director LOVELIVE Graphics Ltd

“A safe space, a personable approach and feedback was constructive. The games and exercises gave me chance to write freely without worry of mistakes. And evaluation of personal projects was very helpful and insightful”.

Steven Moorehead, Recruitment Specialist, AMICULUM
